In the reading Teachers, Parents Often Misuse Growth Mindset Research , Carol Dweck Says (Carol Dweck) Carol becomes obsessed with education and parents boosting motivation for children to do well with academically. When the work becomes challenging, the kids then making themselves believe that they can't do the work when the work becomes tough. You can develop a growth mindset by practicing and willing to take time out and study at the areas you are trying to be successful. Whereas having a fixed mindset you believe that you are born with being smart or having been born with talents that you can't practice or become great with like with a growth mindset. As for me on the other hand I strongly believe I have a growth mindset as a student here at Delaware County Community College. I absolutely believe that with practice you can be good at anything. Whatever you put your mind to you can be very successful. The thing with being successful is everybody wants it but doesn't want to go through the obstacles it takes to succeed. It doesn't just happen overnight, you have to be willing to make time and stay committed to get results. Only a few will be very great at something they once struggled with after a little time of practicing. Others have to put in work. For example I wasn't always as good with mathas I am now. When I first started here at DCCC I knew that I would have to take math classes and I knew that I wasn't all that great. But i was only as great as I wanted to be. I didn't have a reason to study math but it's a requirement here and now i had a reason. It took a lot of studying, practicing, long nights, help from tutors before I actually seen results. The more I put in work the better my results became.
